Nègès Mawon

In 2015, Neges Mawon was founded with the aim of contributing to the improvement of the conditions of women and girls in Haiti and contributing to the work of promotion, advocacy and strengthening of the rights of women / girls and women and gender equity. The group envisions a world where women fully enjoy their civil, political, social and cultural rights for a just and equal world. Their greatest achievement has been the successful organizing of the first two editions of the NÈGES MAWON feminist festival, which brought together thousands of people from Haiti and other parts of the world. “This festival was a turning point in the history of feminism in Haiti and an awakening for the new generation”, they say.
