Who we are
NÈGÈS MAWON, a Haitian Feminist organization based in Port-au-Prince, runs this site. For anything on this page, write to info@negesmawon.org.
What we collect, and why
- Donations. When you give, Stripe takes your payment on its own secure page. We receive your name, email address and the amount, to thank you and send a receipt. We never see your card number.
- Volunteering and messages. If you volunteer or write to us, we receive what you send, usually your name, email address and message. We use it to reply, and to involve you in our work if you asked us to.
What we do not do
We use no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics that follow you from page to page. We never sell your details or share them for marketing.
Cookies and your browser
The site keeps a few small things in your own browser so that it works: your basket, your language and your cookie choice. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.
Videos and the podcast player come from YouTube and Spotify. They load only if you allow them, and those services then set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the foot of every page.
Who else handles your details
- Stripe processes donations and shop payments.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps short technical logs, such as your IP address, to keep it secure and working.
How long we keep them
Donation and order records are kept as long as the law requires for our accounts. Messages are kept as long as we need to reply and follow up.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, to correct them, or to have them deleted. Write to info@negesmawon.org and we will reply within a month.
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
