The CFEGES is a space for learning and critical reflection established by NÈGÈS MAWON, dedicated to Feminist, gender, and sexuality studies. It aims to strengthen the knowledge, analytical skills, and practices of individuals and organizations engaged in the pursuit of equality, social justice, and human rights through training programs, conferences, and interdisciplinary spaces for dialogue and exchange.

The cycle grew out of Alaso. Its editor, the Afrofeminist essayist and sociologist Fania Noël, proposed it to NÈGÈS MAWON in 2023 as an extension of the anthology, with the support of the Black Feminist Fund and in partnership with the Faculté des Sciences Humaines of the Université d’État d’Haïti: a public institution founded on the ambition of equality and of access, which made the partnership a natural choice.

Each session is an introduction to the critical analysis of gender and sexuality as categories of analysis and experience, and to the way questions of race, colonialism, class and citizenship shape the production of knowledge. Registration is free within the places available, and participants who follow more than 70% of the cycle receive a certificate from the UEH in partnership with NÈGÈS MAWON.

Three editions so far: 2023-2024, 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.
