About this edition

Rezistans: the heart of the struggle.

For this first issue the theme is the heart of our struggles: resistance. Resistance to marginalization, to despair, to violence and to erasure, carried in collective fights and in the daily stubbornness of staying on our feet. Alaso does not come to ask. It comes to remind everyone that the Haitian nation was a project of radical liberation carried by Women from its conception, and to state a Feminist commitment to the freedom to dispose of one’s own body and existence.
