About this edition

Fwontyè: the non/border as a space of transformation.

Internal borders separate us from each other the way international ones separate others from us. They are the barriers in front of houses and neighbourhoods, the tinted windows, the first, second and eighth zone schools. This second issue takes the non/border as a space of transformation which, far from sitting at the periphery, is the epicentre of the social and political sphere: it sets the direction of power and domination, rewards whoever keeps it standing and punishes whoever crosses or abolishes it.
