Reproductive Justice is the program. Sang Trêve and Safe Abortion Access are its two projects, and Danta, the play, is the instrument it takes into communities.

Maternal deaths have followed abortions carried out in dangerous and clandestine conditions, and NÈGÈS MAWON works actively so that abortion is legal, safe, accessible and free: seeing abortion differently. Its criminalization, prejudice rooted in religious belief, and the lack of information obstruct even post-abortion care. The subject makes people uncomfortable, which is exactly why raising awareness of it became part of the organization’s advocacy.

The Sang Trêve project is part of an advocacy effort aimed at combating discriminatory and sexist practices surrounding menstruation, which affect many Haitian Women and Girls. Through educational and awareness-raising initiatives, it seeks to break down the taboos associated with menstruation and promote a genuine culture of menstrual dignity, so that menstruation is recognized as a natural part of life to be experienced with dignity and without discrimination.

On 30 May 2026, with RÈG Ayiti, the program held the first Menstruation Fair in Haiti on Place Saint-Pierre in Pétion-Ville: stands, open discussion, and a demand put plainly by secretary general Hogla Chérisier, that the authorities recognize menstrual dignity as a fundamental right and legislate menstrual leave.

Sang Trêve: sang is blood, trêve is a truce. Said aloud it is also sans trêve, without respite.
